Ancient Tradition in the Modern Day: Iberian Maskarades & Folklore is an ongoing discovery of the ancient pagan roots masked throughout the villages of the Iberian Peninsula. This study and production of visual anthropology has taken me through the foothills of the Pyrenees and across the Iberian Peninsula, unearthing the various cultural traditions and winter rites of the region. Each event is unique in its characters and customs, yet shares profound similarities in symbolism. Through this imagery we discover age-old traditions alive and well in the 21st Century."
